Don’t Waste Precious Beach Time in the Grocery Line
We all know our beach time is precious. Some days, getting your toes in the sand and soaking up as much sunshine as possible is the main goal.
Now there’s a new way to maximize your time at the beach by getting your groceries delivered straight to your door.
Shipt, a company based in Birmingham, Ala., has expanded its on-demand grocery delivery service to South Walton and the surrounding area. Now vacationers and locals alike can skip the crowds, choose from over 40,000 items available at Publix and have a personal shopper deliver your groceries to your door at whatever time you choose.

With the service, vacationers can order their groceries before they leave home and have them delivered to their vacation rental, without the hassle of having to find the nearest store and wait in long lines. You could even order from your beach chair while watching the sun set into the Gulf of Mexico and then have everything you need for dinner delivered to your door.
“Going to the grocery store is the last thing you want to do when you are trying to relax on the beach, and as you know the store can get really crowded during the vacation season,” said Anne Adams, a spokeswoman for Shipt.
Shipt is already available in 23 cities, primarily located in the Southeast, including Atlanta, Savannah, Nashville, Chattanooga, Dallas and Tampa. Expanding the service to South Walton will allow existing members to use Shipt while on vacation, but also give new users a chance to cut down their own to-do lists.

Delivery is available in Santa Rosa Beach, Panama City, Destin, Fort Walton Beach and some of Niceville.
