Seaside Announces New Amphitheater Design Project

Seaside announced that they’re begun work on the Seaside Amphitheater, including several significant enhancements and a plan to improve the drainage system.
Seaside said that 44 Medjool palm trees will replace the oaks that currently line the amphitheater, and that they’ll add an expansive walkway for Seaside Farmers’ Market vendors, food carts and special events.
The lawn will be completely re-sodded and new irrigation will be added. The concrete parking pad around the amphitheater will also be replaced with pavers. (That concrete pad was originally added for The Truman Show.)
A safety fence has already been installed around the inner edge of Central Square, and Seaside said that every effort will be made to minimize any disruptions for visitors, locals and merchants. Seaside expects the new Amphitheater project to be complete by March 1st.
