Take the Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day

The South Walton Fire District is hosting their inaugural Polar Bear Plunge at Ed Walline Park (just across the street from Gulf Place) on New Year’s Day.
The frigid dash into the Gulf will be this Wednesday at 11:00 am. In the event of Red Flag Conditions, the plunge will relocate to Gulf Place’s Community Park Pool.
There will be a beach bonfire –courtesy of Beach Bonfires by Kenny — to help warm up anyone who dares to dip into our winter waters. A $20 donation is kindly requested, with all proceeds benefiting the South Walton Fire District. The event is sponsored by Coastal Insurance Agency and The Merchants of Gulf Place.
