New 30A-Brand Products Coming to Stores
Scenic Highway 30A, Florida – (January 19, 2011) – If you live in the Southeast, you might have seen a circular blue “30A” logo on a passing car or two. Today, the company behind the popular Gulf-blue brand announced that it will partner with numerous retailers in the weeks ahead to offer a wide variety of new products sporting the 30A icon.
“We’ve given away over 140,000 30A stickers so far, and we mail them all over the world, from Alaska to the U.K. to our troops in Afghanistan,” said 30A.com’s Angela Ragsdale. “We’re just very grateful that the brand makes so many people so happy.”
Even though the company gives away the 30A stickers for free, Angela said that they’re sponsored by Dune Allen Realty Vacation Rentals, which helps underwrite the costs. The company also recently partnered with Alaqua Animal Refuge to setup donation boxes wherever the decals are offered.
“Fans get a free memento of their time here, our sponsor reaches a lot of people who love this place, and Alaqua gets the donations,” said Angela. “Everyone wins.”
Angela said that the 30A team has now been working for months to develop a large line of new products, including 30A beach tote bags, frisbees, bottle and can huggies, ball caps, shirts, keychains, beach towels, dog tags and much more.
“Throughout the entire process, Angela insisted on only using very high-quality products,” said Johndra Culp of InfoGraphics Marketing Services, the Santa Rosa Beach company that’s overseeing product development. “First and foremost, they want to make make sure that 30A fans really love and use all of the products.”
If initial feedback from the company’s 30,000 Facebook fans is any indication, that shouldn’t be a problem.
“A couple of weeks ago, we previewed the prototype beach tote bag on 30A’s Facebook page, and it was viewed over 41,000 times in the first 24 hours,” said Cynthia Kennedy, who’s working to have the first round of 30A products on-shelves before the Spring Break crowds arrive in March. “We’ve been fielding requests to buy them ever since. I can’t walk into the grocery store without people stopping me to ask where I got mine.”
Angela said that a local 30A fan, Rachel Sprott, suggested creating the environmentally-friendly reusable shopping bags after being inspired by a film during November’s MountainFilm festival in WaterColor.
“Our community not only includes 30A fans, but also diverse wildlife and a very vibrant eco-system,” said Sprott. “To me, the bags symbolize the genuine care that each of our residents and guests have for this place. It’s a great fit for our community and a great way to represent a change that we need to see worldwide.”
Angela said that the company already sells official 30A shirts in several local businesses, including Amavida Coffee in Seaside, Artists at Gulf Place, Balance Health Studio, Big Mama’s Hula Girl Gallery, Cowgirl Kitchen, Flip Flops Grill, Kilwin’s, Pizza by the Sea and Seacrest Sundries, with new merchants to be announced very soon.
Angela added that the company has many other surprises in-store for 2011, but that their two top priorities will always be to support local businesses and to nourish and grow the 30A brand, which has now come to symbolize the region.
“We try really hard every day to promote local businesses and ‘the 30A lifestyle’ in a very happy and positive way,” she said. “We try to keep locals and visitors alike in touch with this special place, and the 30A logo just seems to remind people of how they feel when they’re here. We take that responsibility very seriously.”
