Menus, Venues & More: A Brief Guide to Happy Hour on 30A

It’s a robust selection of signature drinks, popular traditions and discounted hors d’oeuvres that make 30A such a desirable Happy Hour destination. So, whether on the rocks or on the beach, you’re sure to enjoy a perfect Happy Hour on 30A.
Maybe it’s the panoramic ocean view, or perhaps it’s the free cocktail that goes to the patron who guesses the precise time of the sunset every day; Bud & Alley’s Roof Deck Bar is a hot spot for drinks on 30A. Fan favorites served from 11:30 a.m. to close include, “Seaside Punch,” “Caribbean Lemonade” and the “Mogarita,” nicknamed after longtime bartender, Mo.
In Grayton Beach, Hurricane Oyster Bar and Grill celebrates Happy Hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. A few specials include $1 domestic draft beer, $5 house hurricanes and margaritas, 30-percent-off bottles of wine, and half-price appetizers. A favorite of 30A locals is the “Graytonini.”
“With a Gulf Coast-inspired dinner menu and talented chefs, don’t forget to stay for dinner,” added Manager Kevin Johnson.
Seagrove Beach’s, Café Thirty-A hosts “Tini Nights” on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Martinis are $5, and the “Pineapple Cosmo,” made of pineapple infused Stolichnaya vodka, cranberry juice, and Triple Sec, comes highly recommended. Café Thirty-A also features a “buy one entree, get one free (BOGO)” daily special from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Located among The Merchants of Seaside, Great Southern Cafe offers Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. all week. Operations Manager Billy McConnell says, “Mojitos, in every flavor, are always the customer favorites. Guests should try our oysters, which sell for $5 a dozen. In addition, you can look forward to half-price wine and cocktails and discounts on beer.”
Of course, there are plenty more taste-worthy stops along 30A to add to your Happy Hour bucket list (The Red Bar, Caliza Restaurant, and Fish out of Water, just to name a few other great options). So make your list and sample them all as you work your way down 30A — where every hour is a HAPPY HOUR!
