Calling All Superheroes! Capes and Crowns Fun Run

Get ready to dress up as your favorite superhero or glittering princess at the Capes and Crowns Fun Run and 5K!
Sponsored by The Village of Baytowne Wharf and Abrakadoodle Art Education, the event includes face painting, a festive party and an outdoor family movie. Proceeds from the race will benefit The Tree House Episcopal Montessori School.
“We live in a community that celebrates family together-time and this race will be all about costumes, health and fitness with a good dose of fun,” said Maureen Paine, founding director of The Tree House Episcopal Montessori School.
“The Village of Baytowne Wharf loves to host events for charitable causes and especially one with such a lighthearted theme for all ages of superheroes and princesses,” said Julie Stuckey, the events manager for The Village of Baytowne Wharf. “Just make sure to mark your name in your glass slipper as I’m sure we’ll have quite a few princesses running pretty fast!”
Packet pick-up occurs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on race day, Saturday, Jan. 31. The 5K begins at 3 p.m. and the Fun Run at 4:30 p.m. The 5K is a timed race with cash prizes for the male and female finishers of 5K race.
Jan. 15 – Regular registration, $40 for 5K / $25 for Fun Run
Jan. 31 – Packet Pickup, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., The Village of Baytowne Wharf
