Bentley’s to Celebrate Florida’s Stone Crab Season This Sunday

Florida’s Stone Crab season begins October 15th. It’s a much-awaited event for many in South Florida who stand in line for hours at Joe’s Stone Crab on South Beach and pay boat-loads of money for the delicacy.
Stones are only fresh and in-season between October 15 and May 15. They are not only one of the best seafoods, they are also the most environmentally humane. Only one claw is harvested from the crab who is then able to defend himself and grow back his claw quickly. Claws are generally eaten cold with a delicious mustard sauce.

On Sunday, October 21st, Bentley’s and Maddog’s will join forces with Moet Hennessy to celebrate the season opening with a reception and five-course dinner paired with the perfect wine selections. Bentley’s, like stone crabs, came from the Florida Keys and offers mustard sauce nearly as famous as that “other” place on South Beach.
At $95, inclusive of tax and tip, the menu is bountiful and designed to showcase Bentley’s specialties since the restaurant is the new kid on the block. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call 850-231-1007 or go to www.bentleys30a.com.
