Beach Cocktail Spotlight: The Black Betty

Old Florida Fish House offers a variety of cocktails to be enjoyed while overlooking Eastern Lake in Seagrove Beach. Mixologist, Kara Whatley, showed us how to make their signature cocktail, The Black Betty, which is their take on an old fashioned.

The Black Betty

• 1.5 ounces of Basil Hayden’s dark rye

• Splash of house-made simple syrup

• 2 dashes of orange bitters

• 3 black cherries

• Orange garnish

Preparation

Pour all ingredients into a glass. Garnish with 3 black cherries and orange zest.
