30A Goes to Russia

The 30A Company’s Mike and Angela Ragsdale recently traveled to Moscow, Russia, after Mike was invited to speak at the 3D Journalism conference – Russia’s largest media forum – about “the power of good news.” The goal of the two-day conference was to help Russian journalists, media executives and hyperlocal entrepreneurs grow their brands and revenue streams in a rapidly changing market. Over 1,000 attendees participated in the forum, with hundreds of thousands of professionals and students across Russia watching live broadcasts online.

Mike Ragsdale – создатель портала позитивных новостей 30A в маленьком городке на юге Флориды. У проекта уже более 600,000 подписчиков в Фейсбуке, а деньги он зарабатывает на продажах продукции с логотипом бренда – например, футболок из переработанного пластика.

Мы побеседовали с Майком в рамках конференции “3D Журналистика” о том, зачем людям нужны хорошие новости, и как на новый тренд реагировать компаниям и независимым журналистам, авторам и блогерам.
